Start Small — End Big!
If you have a big dream it may feel like the space between here and there is vast. Yet, it is actually only the sum of all the individual steps in between, not a big leap.
Our days are made up of small choices and actions and actually our habits make up most of the steps we take each day. So it is in observing and changing our habits that we make the biggest difference in where we end up.
We are what we repeatedly do. Therefore, excellence is not an act, but a habit. – Aristotle
I advise all my clients to keep track of how they spend their time for a week. In doing so they learn about their unconscious choices and are then able to make new choices.
It is less important to rid yourself of “bad” habits than it is to instill new “good” ones. For example, if you made it a habit to get up 30 minutes earlier each day to do one thing before your normal routine you might finish that book, create a new business, or perhaps exercise. Those 30 minutes dedicated to ONE specific habit would result in 7,800 minutes (or 130 hours) dedicated to creating something important–your success!
What do you do repeatedly? Is it leading you where you want to go?
Now find something new you are willing to do repeatedly to build excellence through habit. It doesn’t take much to be doing more than most people you know and soon you will be amazed at how far you have come.

This really changed the way I look at the things I do every day!
